This year we are so excited to be partnering with Agua Fria Food and Clothing Bank to provide Thanksgiving meal bags for 400+ families right here in the West Valley. We would love for you to join us in helping make this great event happen and helping us to serve our community. Although there are multiple opportunities to serve, they are all of equal importance. How You Can Help:
Give - For the Food Bank to pull of this event it's going to cost about $16,000, all of which comes from donations. As a church, we've agreed to match (dollar-for-dollar) donations from anyone, up to $8,000, with the hopes of fully funding this event. Serve - There will be 3 separate opportunities to serve for this event. You can see the specific details about each opportunity below.
Thanksgiving Bag Packing (Friday, November 20th, 4:00PM - 6:30PM)- During this time we will be pre-packing all 450 bags that will then be distributed to the families on Tuesday. Requirements: Any Age, Masks, Close-Toed Shoes. If you'd like to sign up to serve, click here.
Mobile Pantry Produce Bagging (Tuesday, November 24th, 11:00AM - 1:00PM) - During this time we will be bagging fresh produce that will be handed out with the Thanksgiving Meal Bags as well. Requirements: Any Age, Masks, Close-Toed Shoes. If you'd like to sign up to serve, click here.
Meal Bag Distribution (Tuesday, November 24th, 1:00PM - 6:00PM) - During this time we will be distributing the meal bags to all the families who have pre-registered to receive them. This will be done in a drive-thru format so the families can stay in their cars and we can meet social distancing requirements. This will require, by-far, the largest total number of volunteers.
